Bali To Lombok Attractions

Lombok is part of the Lesser Sunda Islands and within the province of West Nusa Tenggara. The island is roughly the same size and density as Bali and has a population of 3 million, whereas Bali is home to 5 million people. Both islands are continuing to grow economically. In contrast to Bali, the tourism boom has yet to hit Lombok, and it remains similar to the pre-tourist Bali of 10 years before. The island has a very relaxed feel with plenty of friendly locals willing to answer your questions and recommend places to stay and small restaurants (warungs/ rumah makan) to eat at. Undeveloped forests lend to the green landscapes that will form the backdrop to the many rice fields. The panoramic view is a wonderful blend of fields and mountains, all equally beautiful. Lombok’s plains are considered to be very fertile with a wide variety of natural products. Locally grown goods include rice, soybeans, coffee, tobacco, cotton, cinnamon, coconut, vanilla and more.
